Scary? No, not really. I find the adventure to be thrilling.
Going to a place I've never been to before.
Learning the lore of a culture I've never known.
Exploring the world satisfies me in a way nothing else can.

Do you know lots of languages?

Not fluently. Usually I can pick up enough of a language in a country if its native language isn't English.

Although there's enough English speakers in this world that I can find one to help me if I really get lost.

Have you been to Japan before? I used to live there before I came to this city.

I've been there a couple of times on my travels. I'm not big on places like Tokyo that are crowded, but I did enjoy staying there for a week or two just experiencing the culture. I would have gone to other places that are rural, but I don't have much confidence in speaking or reading Japanese that I'd get lost.

I understand. Places like Tokyo are overpopulated and there's barely any room to walk.

You're packed in tight like sardines...! That would make anyone uncomfortable unless they were already used to it.
